Maintaining Your Oral Health

Regular visits to the dentist have been proven to help prevent dental decay and periodontal (gum) disease.

Periodontal Disease - Hidden Health Risks

At each checkup visit, we will measure your gums to look for signs of periodontal (gum) disease, an infection that can lead to tooth loss. If detected early, gum disease can be treated non-surgically in our office. Bacterial infection and inflammation associated with periodontal disease has been linked as a risk factor for complications in systemic illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes.

Routine Preventive Care

We recommend that our patients visit our office every 3-6 months for routine cleanings and checkups.

At this visit, we will take necessary digital xrays, and our doctors will perform a thorough dental examination to evaluate the condition of your teeth and jaw joints. Using digital imaging technology, they will review their findings with you on a computer screen.

We may recommend dental sealants and fluoride treatments for your child to prevent dental decay.

The hardest substance in the human body is tooth enamel. When this protective shield is broken down due to disease, trauma, or poor bite, teeth can be permanently damaged or lost.

We want our patients to have beautiful, healthy smiles for a lifetime.

Restorative dentistry techniques and materials are designed to rebuild and replace natural tooth structure to normal shape, size and function to maintain bite balance and return your smile to a comfortable, disease-free state that is easier to clean and maintain.

Restorative dentistry offers options to address a number of smile challenges such as missing, broken, or decayed teeth; aged and discolored crown and bridge work; loose and ill-fitting dentures; and gum disease due to non-cleansable tooth surfaces.

Our Restorative Services include:

  • Crowns & Bridges
  • Onlays & Inlays
  • Complete & Partial Dentures
  • Dental Bonding
  • Tooth-colored Fillings

If you are struggling with the challenges of missing or broken-down teeth, we can help you bring health back to your smile.

A bright, vibrant smile can elevate your self-confidence and be a positive communication boost to both your career and personal relationships. Your overall health and appearance play an important role in your "first impression". We would love to help you reach your greatest smile potential!

From slight, subtle changes such as teeth whitening and minor cosmetic dental bonding, or more dramatic transitions with porcelain veneers and crowns, Doctors Thomas and Lucas apply years of experience and the latest cosmetic dentistry techniques to create your new smile.

Discovering your New Smile

During your initial consultation, we want to learn everything we can about your dental health and your personal goals for your smile. Following a complete oral health assessment, we will work with you to arrive at a design plan to help you achieve a beautiful, pleasing smile that you can feel great about!

Cosmetic Dentistry Services that we offer in our practice include:

  • Teeth Whitening
  • Cosmetic Bonding & Tooth-colored Fillings
  • Porcelain Crowns & Veneers

Some dental conditions require a multi-faceted approach to ease discomfort and prevent further harm to the teeth, gums and jaw joints. Doctors Thomas and Lucas adopt a therapeutic approach to these conditions, combining thorough assessment with phased treatment to address disease, trauma, and infection and alleviate pain.

Our Therapeutic Dental Services include:

  • Management of TMJ Disorders, including NTI Splint Therapy
  • Nightguards, for management of clenching and bruxism (teeth grinding) during sleep
  • Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy, for treatment of periodontal (gum) disease
  • Routine Extractions and minor surgical procedures

Are you struggling with jaw joint soreness or dental pain? Don't postpone treatment, help is just a phone call away!

Staying current with the latest technology and techniques in dentistry is one of our core values.

We use these systems in our practice to help make your visits more comfortable and convenient:

Digital Radiography. Though dental radiation exposure is very minimal, digital xray systems require even less radiation than traditional film. Images are available for reviewing and sharing with our patients within seconds.

Computerized Charting and record-keeping systems allow us to retrieve your digital dental record quickly to compare historical information and monitor your oral health for any changes over time.

The Wand®. By slowly and consistently regulating the flow of the anesthetic, The Wand® helps eliminate the discomfort many people feel from traditional dental "shots".

Intraoral Cameras. Small intraoral cameras about the size of a toothbrush allow us to capture magnified pictures of your teeth and display them on a computer screen. This visual aid makes it easier for you and your dentist to talk about any areas of concern.

What we enjoy most about the added efficiencies of dental technology is that it allows us to spend more time focusing on our relationships with our valued patients.
